Notice of 2010 Vocational Rehabilitation Public Comment Opportunities

The Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services (DRS) and the Virginia State Rehabilitation Council would like to hear your thoughts and opinions about our vocational rehabilitation program and services. The comments received will be utilized in the development of the 2011 State Plan for Vocational Rehabilitation and Supported Employment. You may review the current State Plan by visiting the DRS website at www.vadrs.org or the State Rehabilitation Council website at www.va-src.org or request that a copy be sent to you.

Due to the current economic situation, we have slightly reduced the number of public comment forums this year. We hope that you can attend one if in your vicinity to provide in-person comment. If this is not feasible for you, we encourage you to e-mail, call or write us a letter with your comments. All comments will be compiled and placed on DRS’ website for public view. For comments to be considered for 2011 State Plan development, they must be received by April 1, 2010. However, public input to the Department’s planning effort is welcome at any time.
